Many remote controls for Ceiling Fans, heaters and doors use Radio Frequency (RF) remote controls which are not directly controllable via most environment control Units (ECU). We can modify your existing RF (radio) remote control to work via this Radio Remote Infrared (IR) interface, making it compatible with Housemate and other ECUs. In order to construct this interface, you must first send us your remote and we will modify it by permanently attaching it to the interface unit. You can usually buy a second remote control from your device supplier if you can't part with the original for a few days!

This Interface is compatible with HouseMate and any ECUs (Environment Control Units) that can reproduce Gewa infra red codes. If your ECU does not already have GEWA codes, we can supply a remote control with the IR codes as an optional extra to train your ECU.
When activated by the user the ECU sends simple IR signals to the interface. The Interface unit activates the RF remote which in turn emits its own complex RF codes to operate the fan (or other device).
Functions may vary depending on those available on the RF remote.
