If your air conditioner is not supported by our Universal Air conditioner Interface, we can modify your existing remote control. In this case you must send us your remote and we will then modify it by permanently attaching it to the interface unit. You can usually buy a second remote control from your air conditioner supplier if you can't part with the original for a few days!
The picture shows how your air-conditioner remote will be attached to the interface unit.
This Interface is compatible with any ECUs (Environment Control Units) that can reproduce Gewa infra red codes. If your ECU does not already have GEWA codes, we can supply a remote control with the IR codes as an optional extra to train your ECU.
When activated by the user the ECU sends simple IR signals to the interface. The Interface unit activates the air conditioner remote, which in turn emits its own complex codes to operate the air conditioner.The display on the air conditioner remote shows the status of the system correctly, as it is being used to control the air conditioner.
The Air Conditioner Remote Control IR Interface can allow control of :
- Power On/Off,
- Temp Up, Temp Down
- And Fan functions.
Functions may vary depending on those available on the air conditioner.
