Infra Red Remote Activated Wireless Call Chime for use with Housemate, Eyegaze systems etc.
People using assistive technology such as the Housemate and eye-gaze often have trouble calling for assistance because the systems they use don’t always have a way of connecting to a call system.
Technical Solutions' infra red (IR) Wireless Call Chime resolves this issue. It sounds a remote wireless chime when the control box receives an infra red (IR) remote control signal which can be set up in the user’s Housemate or eyegaze unit.
A dedicated “call button” is set up on the user’s device and programmed with an IR code to trigger a call. The IR Wireless Call Chime has a built in training facility to teach the IR code to the user’s control system.
The IR Wireless Call Chime transmitter module stays in the user’s room and the portable battery powered wireless chime can be put in a carer’s sleep over room or other convenient location.
We’ve used a quality wireless door chime with an indicative range of 150m which should reliably cover most situations.
The chime unit has adjustable volume and a range of different chime sounds.
