Requires up to 6 Capability Switches, purchased separately.
Channel, Volume and more buttons are switch accessible.

    Switches Pictured are sold separately.
(Jelly bean switches pictured $130.00 each)

Six buttons are switch accessible; Volume Up, Volume Down and Channel Up, Channel Down and two more of your choice. Just plug in your own switch or switches into the jacks, and the buttons on the remote will be activated. For example, if your adapted TV remote has a switch plugged into the “channel up” jack, then every time you press the external capability switch, the channel will increase by one.

Please note that it is a simple process to train the signals in to this learning remote to work your TV, DVD or other infrared controlled appliance; detailed instructions enclosed.

Not limited to just Volume and Channel controls

Virtually any home appliance that has an infrared remote can be programmed into the Learning Infrared TV Controller. So it can also be used to control a CD player, radio or MP3 player. For a music player the switches could be programmed to activate Play/Pause, Track Forward and Track Back.

    Simple single switch operation

For those who can not handle multiple switches, a single switch can be used to access a single function - Here are some examples:

    • Program just one switch to the Track Forward button of a CD, DVD or MP3 player.
Each time the switch is activated, the music will change.
    • Program just one switch to the Play/Pause button of a CD, DVD or MP3 player.
Each time the switch is activated, the music will start or stop.
    • Program just one switch to the Channel Up button of a TV.
Each time the switch is activated, the channel will change.

    Compatible with Smart TVs ??

The Learning Infrared TV Controller can work most smart TVs. The controller can learn infrared signals but not radio signals. Some smart TVs and other devices use radio remotes and are therefore not compatible. However, most smart TV remotes will send infrared signals if the TV is powered down. We therefore advise that the TV is turned off, preferably switched off at the wall, while learning the infrared signals.

Optional Extra - Flexi Play/Pause - Makes a great Reward

Use the Switch Adapted Learning Infrared TV Controller with a music player and our Flexi Adaptor with play/pause to greatly assist students learning the cause-effect relationship between pressing a switch and the music player operating. The music will start when the switch is pressed then stop after say 20 seconds, thereby encouraging the user to press their switch again.
