The floor mat is plugged in to a transmitter & teamed with a Radio Linked Call Buzzer. When the patient stands on the mat, a buzzer in the carer’s room will sound the alert.
The receiver (call buzzer) can be plugged into a power point at the nurses' station or in a carer's room. In larger buildings where the carer/s have to cover a large area, the receiver can be moved about as required, or multiple receivers can be positioned around the building. The range covered by the receiver will be dependent on environmental factors, but is generally effective up to 30 metres. The Call Buzzer has two modes of operation: Instant - The buzzer will sound only while the call switch is pressed, and Latching - the buzzer stays on until the carer turns it off. The transmitter uses a 3volt button cell battery.
The floor mat measures 91cm x 61cm & is of slip resistant, durable PVC with tapered edges.
