    The floor mat is connected to a transmitter. When the patient stands on the mat, a receiver carried by the carer will sound an alert & flash a red light. After ensuring the person is safe, the carer must press the reset button on the receiver followed by that on the transmitter to ready the floor mat again.

    The receiver has adjustable volume, (note for carers with a hearing impairments please contact us discuss alternative options) but there is no sound emitted from the transmitter at the mat, so that the client is not bothered by the alarm. It is recommended that the plug pack be used with the receiver, but both transmitter and receiver can use either batteries or plug packs. The pager system is suitable for most homes, having a range of up to 50 metres.
