The IR Relay Interface provides a method to control automatic doors and other devices via infrared remote. The IR Relay will receive signals from an Environment Control Unit (ECU) and activate a (dry contact) relay output. In some situations this output can be plugged into the switch input of the device to be controlled, or more commonly wired in by an electrician.
The IR Switch interface can also provide a link between an infrared system and devices with radio remotes. Typically, a client will send us their radio remote and we will hard wire it to the outputs from the IR Relay.
We have used the IR Relay Interface to control the following:
- Door locks and motors
- Door radio remotes
- Windows and Blind radio remotes
- Lights, Fans and heating systems
