Our Laser Pointer with Latch Control Module allows the user to point out objects, signs or symbols on a message board communicator.
The laser can be worn with the supplied headband or glasses clip, or can be attached to any part of the body as required.
The unit is portable and battery powered. The Latch Control Module allows you to use any of our special purpose switches to turn the laser on and off. The control module provides three modes of operation. A latching option, instant and timer option are available with a flick of a toggle switch.
Glasses Clip
A clip is supplied with the unit that may be suitable for attaching to glasses. Simply clip it onto the frame of the glasses and attach the laser with the Velcro side. The lead for the laser has a Velcro tie attached to it, this can be used for further stabilising and positioning of the unit.
Headband
This elastic Velcro band can be strapped round the user's head, arm or leg. The pointer can be velcroed anywhere on the band. The laser is normally used on the head and positioned close to horizontal – in line with the user’s eyes.
We have adjusted the laser to its minimum output – about 0.5mWatt. However, as with all “Class 2” laser products, care should be taken to avoid directly looking into the laser. Do not point the laser in other people’s eyes or stare into beam.
Once the user has seen at least one product this snippet will be visible.
