    Radio Linked remote control of device/s

    Imagine you have a voice output communicator mounted on your wheelchair and you want to use the one switch to operate your communicator as well as open your front door. We can provide a Switch Director with one local output, plugged into the communicator, and one radio linked (cordless) output that can be used to remotely trigger your door opener. This Switch Director can have a total of up to four outputs and it has a built in radio transmitter so that remote device/s can be operated via a Radio Link Receiver

    How does Radio Linked Switch Director work?

    Below is a typical operation.  (Other options are available)

    • Switch presses of a short duration will activate the local output to control the communicator or ECU.
    • longer sustained switch press will be directed to the Radio Linked output to open the door.

    Here are some examples of what you can do with one switch

    • Use an Environment control unit (ECU) to control your TV as well as call for help via a call buzzer or SOS alarm (Vital Call or similar)
    • Scanning remote door opener to open your front door, back door and even your gate!
    • Call for help via a call buzzer or nurse call system then use your scanning communicator to explain what you need.

    Where are the devices that you wish to control located?

    This Switch Director can have 2, 3 or 4 switch outputs. We custom build each Switch director with any combination of local and Radio Linked outputs.

    • The Local Output leads can plug directly into the devices (close to you) that you want to control.
    • The Radio Linked Outputs will be paired with one or more of our Radio Switch Link Receivers or Radio Linked Call Buzzer Receivers - Useful for controlling devices remotely - no wires attached!

    Examples:

    1. A Switch Director that can open four doors, specify:
      SMSD-RLTX       with 4 Radio Linked outputs.

    2. A Switch Director that can operate a communicator and open two doors, specify:
      SMSD-RLTX with 1 local and 2 Radio Linked outputs.
