Steady Hand Module
The unit has two modes of operation:
1: Unit gives a single short pulse when the switch is pressed then waits for an adjustable timed period before the user can operate it again.Suits people who have trouble releasing their switch.
2: Unit operates while the switch is held but then blocks shaky uncontrolled movements during/after switch release. Stops unintentional double press of switch.
Users who are prone to shaky uncontrolled hand movements can often have trouble using a switch as they may inadvertently make two or more switch presses in rapid succession when only intending to press the switch once. This Steady Hand module blocks uncontrolled movements during switch release. Which is useful in situations where the initial switch press must not be delayed (such as when using scanning systems), but the user has difficulty pulling his/her hand away without generating additional unwanted switch operations. A small lamp lights during the lockout period to give useful feedback to the switch user.
The 'lockout time' is adjustable between 1 and 10 seconds and is typically set to about 2 or 3 seconds.
