Electronic filters in the Sound Switch Pro can be adjusted so that the switch can be triggered by the user’s voice but not by background noise. The sensitivity can be adjusted over an extremely wide range. In a quiet environment, the unit’s sensitivity can be adjusted to pick up footsteps or someone whispering. A delay function allows output activation from either an instantaneous detected volume level, or a sustained volume level. This allows the user to have a conversation without unintentionally activating the output device.
