This special interface module allows most ECU systems to be programmed to control most (infrared remote controlled) air conditioners.
Infrared (IR) remote controls that are supplied with many air conditioners send complex signals compared to television and video remotes, which can make it very awkward to train an ECU.
To overcome this problem Technical Solutions has created an interface that creates a link between your Environmental Control Unit (ECU) and your air conditioner. The interface incorporates the Ultra Plus universal remote which is compatible with most Air Conditioners sold in Australia. The Interface is also compatible with any ECUs that can reproduce Gewa infra red codes.
The ECU sends simple IR signals to the interface which in response sends an appropriate air conditioner IR command. The display on the air conditioner remote shows the status of the system correctly, as it is being used to control the air conditioner.
The Air Conditioner Remote Control IR Interface can allow control of :
- Power On/Of
- Temp Up, Temp Down
- Fan speed
- Switch modes between heating and cooling
Functions may vary depending on those available on the air conditioner.
